art week

This week is art week, were the whole school participates in multiple art involved events around and in the school. We each get to list down the top three things we want to do which is really handy,if you are lucky you will be put in one of the three events you chose. Anyway I got put in painting the Turnbull St fence which is cool. I think it will make the school look of the hizzy. We are learning to perfect our swift painting skills and develop our fine taste in art. I hope all our team will use they're exellent skill in art to make this school absoloutly splendid.

Last week Thorndon school had a senior speech competition held in room 7. Everyone was very exited. My speech was persuading pepole to stop Jay-walking in NZ. I was a bit nervous but I did it in the end.

3 way conference goals

At our three way conference we all had to set three goals to achive. One of my goals is to achive level three in the banks test by the end of the year. My second goal is to attain level 3a in writing. My last goal is to attain level 4b in geomtry. I really hope I will be able to achive all these goals. Bye.

Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk about our three way conference. The whole idea is that instead of our parents just coming and meeting our teacher we come as well. We have to get ready a folder with all the work we want to show our parents, we did stuff like photo copying pages from our books, putting in our test results and self assessment sheets. The idea is that we do all the talking and lead the conference. When I did my conference I thought it went very well, I had a good time explaining all the things I had achieved over the year. We talked about my test results, what I need to achieve and what my strengths are. We then had to set three goals that we need to achieve by the end of the year. I was really proud of my self!!! Overall I think that doing the three way conference instead of a normal parent teacher interview was a very good idea, well done Jay. now on to other matters, I've almost finished the first Harry Potter book, it's really good, so detailed!

Hey everyone, I Just had my three way conference, I found it wasn't that bad. Tomorrow after school I'm going up to Taranaki to visit my grandma, my cousin is coming with us. Last sunday I went to The Poiseners at Te Papa, I thought it was really cool, do you know who did it? Check out the new videos I put on my blog, their really weird. I've just started reading the first Harry Potter book, It's pretty good. See you guys later!

Hello everyone, hope you guys are having a good term. My three way conference is today(31st of July) and I don't have a clue how it will go but I'm exited about it. I'm eager to write my persuasive letter and see if I get a reply. Soon I'll be getting my PSP, I'm really happy about it. I've just got Internet on my laptop so I'll be able to post some blogs from home. I can't wait to see the Simpson's movie, it looks really cool, I hope I can see it over the weekend. Now back to school, we are going to start book circles really soon, I think it will be pretty fun, I did them last year. I'll see you guys later.

Hello thorndon school,did you all have a cool holiday,I sure did. I went up to Auckland and spent some time with my dad. Me and my brother went and saw transformers at the movies, I thought it was really good!!!!!!!!!!!!
